Nigerians get relief materials as the effect of the COVID-19 Pandemic/Lockdown scotches.
In truth, none of us are safe until all of us are safe. The COVID-19 pandemic paints this in living colour. The World faces the same challenges. But in our case, Nigeria has far more people living in poverty and a lot of people working in the informal economy. They are harder hit by the pandemic and most impacted by the measures that work to mitigate the pandemic, such as staying at home, social distancing, and washing of hands.
Challenged by the difficulties imposed by the pandemic, Princess Hadessah Osula-Atu under the umbrella of her NGO Rosula Foundation, made it her goal to provide palliatives, feeding programs and support to the needy and vulnerable nation wide.
Currently, the foundation has successfully distributed over 370,000 food and relief items to Nigerians in Lagos, Ogun, Abuja and Ibadan. Also the foundation has also carried out street feeding programme in neighborhoods in and around the Lagos metropolis. In Edo State, the foundation has stocked up her warehouses with Bags of rice, beans, gari, semo, salt, cartons of Indomine, Ready Stew, Titus, Akamu, Pasta, Milk, Bunvita, Tin Tomatoes etc and she is gearing up to distribute these items to the people of Edo State. This laudable gestures has drawn the admiration of government officials, religious leaders, civil society, private organizations and indeed the general public.
